25-04-2024 CzłonkowieExpert Radzi

Unauthorized access to a business email account, identity theft and attempts to defraud significant financial assets by impersonating a business partner are key elements of the cyber threat known as Business Email Compromise (BEC). Michał Opala will present recently observed techniques and tactics used by attackers, based on the experience gained by SK&S White-Collar Crime Team in assisting clients in dozens of BEC cases. The main part of the presentation will be a set of practical tips for an appropriate response to a BEC incident both from a legal and technical point of view, legal risk mitigation measures, and recovery of defrauded assets.

After the substantive part, we invite you to a classic networking event with Chamber Members and selected guests of the Law Firm Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak over POrtuguese wine and delicious food!
