“Ukraine – Direction for Europe” is by definition a long-term project aimed at showing the power of Ukrainian culture and art. The exhibition reflects a longing for a free, democratic world in which the artist has not only creative freedom, but also the freedom to move around and share his achievements with people in other countries. The virtual version of the Gallery also invites you on a cultural journey through the epochs and regions of Ukraine, in the form of unique creative work with material.
During the stationary exhibition in the lobby spaces of Andel’s Art Gallery in Vienna House Andel’s Lodz, you will be able to see the works of two artists:
Eugenia Jaeger – award-winning cartoonist and graphic artist who lives in Germany. Her works have been exhibited in Poland, as well as in Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, China, Finland, Russia, France and Sweden. In her characteristic compositions, she studies the relationship between the individual and the environment, taking into account the boundaries of our perception, the fragility of space and the parameters of time. Jaeger most commonly uses screen printing techniques with acrylics and pencils on canvas or paper. She is a member of the Artists’ Union of Germany and the Swedish Graphics Association.
Iryna Dzyndra – born in Lutsk, Ukraine, representative of modern trends in fine arts and decoration. In her works, she emphasizes the process of creating an image and the interdependence of the artist and the image, when the possibilities of re-translating the emotional and imaginative background materialize to the fullest. The themes of the artist’s artistic expression are most often revealed in the landscape, her own vision of the landscape and the space in which it spreads with all the tiniest nuances of its emotional color. Context, dialogue and meditation are the priority rules for the contextual filling of the artist’s works. She graduated from the Lviv Academy of Arts and the Lviv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Art.
The vernissage will be graced by a concert by Taras Hlushko, a pianist with eleven years of experience in working with the Grand Theater in Łódź. A graduate of the State Music School Wasyl Barwiński in Drohobycz and the National Academy of Music Mykoły Łysenki in Lviv.
