The Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and the Pomeranian Export Broker invites you for the PPCC’s cyclical seminar on “Doing Business in Portugal and Brazil”. The seminar will be organized in the form of a webinar on the 20th of October 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to present Polish exporters and investors the potential and practice of trade and investment cooperation with Portugal and Brazil, based on the testimonials of experts on these markets. Direct promotional and b2b support instruments for Polish companies will also be discussed in terms of the markets of Portugal and Brazil.

Portugal

Poland has been recording a positive trade balance with Portugal for years, and the value of Polish exports has increased twice since 2013. In the period January-June 2020, exports to Portugal increased by 0.6% (GUS). Portugal is also a market with a commercial disposition and a significant impact on relations with African and South American countries.

Brazil

Brazil is one of the ten largest economies in the world with a long tradition of importing from Poland i.a. steel, coal, chemicals and fertilizers, sulfur, pharmaceuticals, aerospace and railroads, lighting, and food products, and more. Trade turnover currently amounts to USD 2 billion. Almost 20 Polish companies operating on the Brazilian market directly as investors. Brazil, however, is a market where substantive preparation, personal relationships, and a long-term approach to business are very important.
